Multiple knowledge: the importance of recognizing women
The multiple types of knowledge that made our history would not be complete without the knowledge of women, and the important role of women farmers and coordinators in our groups, contributing to the expansion of gender social constructions. RECA recognizes the need to value the female workforce and ensures their representation in all groups and meetings – each of the 10 member groups has female representation, legitimizing equal space for RECA female farmers.
